Design-led WordPress websites for Crossroads businesses, studios, and agencies.

Give your work a website that explains it
A strong visual identity deserves more than a generic page layout. For a studio, gallery, or creative business in the Crossroads Arts District, the challenge is often deciding how to present the work: what to show first, how much context to give, and how an interested visitor starts a conversation.
We bring design and WordPress development together. That can mean shaping a new site with you, translating an established brand into the web, or helping your agency implement an approved design.
Project example: clear paths and custom interaction
For Carrier Lynx, we designed and built a fully custom website for a freight business with several audiences. The brief called for a simple experience that made the company’s role understandable. We organized the site around shippers, carriers, and agents, each with a recognizable path.
We also created the custom icons and graphics, including the homepage icons’ hover animation, and created the background video. Stock photography was part of the visual approach. The project demonstrates how a restrained interface can still have personality and clear audience structure. It was a direct-client engagement. Explore the Carrier Lynx project details.
WordPress implementation for design and marketing agencies
If your agency needs white-label WordPress development, we can discuss a single build or an ongoing partnership. Kolten Craft has worked with WordPress since 2013, including custom themes, Gutenberg blocks, Gravity Forms, plugins, and integrations. We prefer a considered WordPress implementation over adding a page builder by default.
Before work starts, we agree on the design source, editable content, integration requirements, review process, and how communication with your client should work. We also establish any confidentiality and portfolio-credit boundaries for that engagement. Discuss an agency project or partnership.
Details to settle before the build
- Portfolio structure: Should visitors browse by service, project type, or the problem each project solved?
- Visual assets: Which photography, brand files, video, and project permissions are ready to use?
- Interaction: What should motion or a custom component help a visitor understand or do?
- Editing: Which parts of the site will your team update regularly, and who will manage them?
These decisions let us preserve the character of your work while keeping the site practical. Learn more about the person and process behind Web Design KC, or review our current website options and pricing.
