Carrier Lynx needed a fully custom website that made its role in the freight industry easier to understand. We organized the experience around its different audiences and added custom visual details to an intentionally simple design.
At a glance
- Client: Carrier Lynx.
- Our role: Website design and development, integrations, custom icons and graphics, and creation of the background video.
- Main challenge: Explain the business clearly to several different audiences.
- Engagement: We worked directly with the client.
Different visitors need different starting points
The company works with different participants in the freight industry. We built clear paths for shippers, carriers, and agents so visitors could recognize where they fit and find information relevant to them.
The intentionally simple experience was the main design challenge. The site needed to explain what the company does without making visitors work through an unnecessarily complicated interface. Structure and audience-specific paths carried much of that responsibility.
Finding the right visual language
Choosing the visuals took work. We used stock photography, created the website’s background video, and designed the icons and graphics specifically for the site.
The custom graphics gave us another way to distinguish the content. Instead of asking photography to explain everything, we could create visual elements around the structure and character of the website.
A small interaction that adds character
The homepage’s custom icons animate on hover. This is a detail we are particularly proud of: the movement adds interest to a website whose overall presentation was deliberately straightforward.
Small components deserve the same attention as the larger layout. Here, the custom icons and their animation helped bring the experience to life while supporting a restrained design.
Custom development that supports the presentation
The build included the integrations required for the project. We handled those alongside the website’s design and development, with a focus on a clear, easy-to-use public experience.
For an agency considering a white-label WordPress development partner, this project shows how information structure, custom graphics, interaction details, and WordPress implementation can work together.
