Who We Are
Hi, my name is Kolten Craft. I am an artist/musician/nerd who spends most of my time with my wife, Amy, and our children. I love talking about music, gongfu tea, social justice, spirituality, entrepreneurship, passive income, and my city. I am the founder and lead designer/developer at Web Design Kansas City. I started this company in 2021, and have been building websites full time as an independent contractor since 2013. As a Kansas City native, I am passionate about seeing Kansas City’s local businesses thrive through creating websites that showcase the originality and quality of the local businesses that this rich city has birthed. I have my degree in Business and Psychology, which gives me a unique perspective and skill set when building my websites.

We use today’s most popular content management system, WordPress, because of its flexibility and scalability. Using WordPress to build your professional custom website sets you up for success.
Mobile
Web Design Kansas City designs intentionally, with your visitor’s needs and desires in mind from mobile devices all the way up to desktops. Believe it or not, over half of your visitors will be finding you on their phones. We build all of our websites using mobile responsive design so your website will be user-friendly on whatever device it is found on.

Development
We started building websites before CRM’s were as prevalent as they are today. As a result, our background is in hard coding websites. This means we are able to accomplish creative and complex tasks that other front-end designers are not able to do (even when they slow your site down with countless plugins). We make sure your website is built to be quick, tidy, and organized the way Google wants it to be.
